Romansa Set in Ivory

Designed to be worn together or styled separately, the ROMANSA Set is versatile without compromising comfort. The top features a boxy cut with a belt that cinches the waist - shaping a stronger, more defined silhouette.

At the heart of this piece is the sulam.

In creating my own sulam, I adopted this approach of intuition. Rather than replicating historical motifs, I focused on understanding the mindset behind them, sketching from the modern world and my travels. This process reflects a 1960s Malay sensibility, a time when clothing was made to last, to be repaired, and to carry meaning across years. I aim to preserve not just the visual language of sulam, but its philosophy: that making is an act of love, memory, and creating.

Care instructions

• Hand wash gently in cool water with mild detergent

• Do not wring or soak.

• Dry Clean preferred 

• Steam Iron preferred

• Handle with extra care around the embroidery area

To keep your piece in its best condition, dry clean is preferred. Alternatively, hand-wash gently in cool water with a mild detergent, avoid wringing, soaking, or rubbing, especially over embroidered areas. Be careful when handling the fabric to avoid rubbing or scratching, especially around embroidered areas.

Store your pieces away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. If ironing is needed, always use a low-temperature setting or best use a steam iron. For minor stains, gently dab with a soft cloth with mild detergent.
